Clients' Success Stories
"I was wanting some education for a class I wanted to teach called MRT (Moral Reconation Therapy). I went to Shanon Conley with ACCC. Shanon was very helpful throughout this whole process. Aspen Mine Center paid for my classes and allowed me to use their facility and a computer to take the class. After I passed the MRT class ACCC gave me a classroom to hold MRT classes. Ann Wallace with ACCC helps run the ACCC building. Ann is helping me with the fine details of this class, as well as helping me with a computer skills. I am very thankful for ACCC and the Aspen Mine for their services to Teller County and the community." - D.S.
"I am so grateful to Annie Durham, the Victor Elks Lodge 367, and the Community of Caring for everyone's help in getting me to Wilton's Sugar Sculpting Class in Neighborville, IL. I studied sugar sculpting with Marilyn McNabb, who is a well-known pastry chef featured on the Food Network Channel, Season 8. Everyone at the class was so excited and so willing to help me. This experience was amazing and will help me when I open my bakery...I am THIS close!" - L.M.
"When I first connected with the Adult Career Connection Center in Cripple Creek, I had a vision for starting my own business but didn’t have the resources to bring it to life. Thanks to their grant funding, I was able to launch Wild Sage Apothecary. That support allowed me to purchase essential supplies and, most importantly, the packaging I needed to get my products ready for customers. Having that initial boost made all the difference—it gave me the ability to move forward with confidence, create a professional presence, and start building something sustainable for my future.
Beyond the financial support, knowing that there are people who believe in local entrepreneurs like me has been an incredible encouragement. The Adult Career Connection Center doesn’t just provide assistance; they empower people to take their ideas and turn them into reality. I’m so grateful for the role they’ve played in helping me get my business off the ground." - T.K.
"Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle."
- Christian D. Larson
